Finally Back...Hopefully for a while:)

Well I have been putting this off and putting it off for so long, but the same old blog post day after day has been eating at me. I really am going to do better now. I honestly feel that I have nothing to talk about, and a newly wedded college girl’s blog pales in the shadow of her two older sisters who not only post often, but also are usually one of my most favorite sources of smiles for the day. Their blogs are on the top of my usual daily sights to visit. I seriously CANNOT top their hilarious stories and crazy, yet interesting schedules.

As Jesse pointed out last night, it’s very probable that it’s just because I don’t have any kids yet, so I don’t have many fun stories to tell. But, of course he followed it with the comment “so is that what you’re going to do all day once you have the baby?” Is that what men think of women’s blogs? That we post in them because we have absolutely nothing else to do since our children are playing peacefully, the dishes and laundry are busily doing themselves like Flora, Fawna, and Merryweather have recently stopped by to cast a spell on our kitchen, and we live in a town where the doorbell and phone doesn’t ring. Yeah, that seems so likely. I mean, don’t take it from me though. I seriously hope he was joking.

Well I suppose I should catch up then. Jesse is busy with school as we near the end of this block of classes. It’s really annoying to have to deal with finals twice in one semester, but thankfully they have changed it so that next year summer will be one whole semester, and not separated into two 2-month blocks. He has finally settled on his major being Health-Science…but don’t hold your breath. He has so many possibilities that he could go for still and we’re still finishing generals here. He has been able to work for the school as a referee a few nights a week for the past semester and block, so that has been nice for him to have a job that he really enjoys and has decent hours. On top of that he has still found time to be a part of the schools athletic league in baseball and carry his unofficial calling as the sports director for the elders quorum. (That’s pretty much the kind of callings we ALL get up here since there are so many of us. Last week someone got called to be the groundskeeper…I’m sorry, but I just find that random for a 21-year-old newlywed boy). So he has also organized a men’s softball team that plays once a week.
He is such a big help to me right now with all of the leg cramps and backaches and mid-night demands and daytime woes. He helps me keep the house together and we’ve found a lot of fun in taking walks (to help the many leg cramps:), playing games, reading the scriptures, and even studying together. He was so excited to feel like a father this Father’s day.

I have been going to school with Jesse, which pretty much explains the rest. It’s been a lot of fun though to have all of our classes together this semester. However, after the second block I am finished (besides one online course that I am taking) and then I defer the fall for obvious reasons. I am so excited to cool down on the school and focus on the baby coming. Jesse and I have also moved from the third floor to the first floor (more effective AC and not so many stairs for me when I’m 9 months) of our complex to whom in may concern…so we are now in 102, but we still aren’t out of 301 yet. It’s really annoying because we had to move now or never, but finals are killing us and we’re trying to keep up with everything and move all of our things. Oh well, I know that we are FAR from the last time we will ever do this, so I might as well just be happy that we are only carrying things down a few flights of stairs and down a walkway. I am growing more and more everyday:) which I guess means that the baby is growing. I seriously had an elderly man in the family history center tell me the other day that it was nice to see me so “plump” and “blossoming into your true motherhood body. No more of this slim nonsense”. I really wasn’t sure how to take that comment. Anyone?

The baby just gets more and more lively every day. It’s so interesting to me to feel all of these changes and know that the little thing inside of me (busily kicking my bladder at the moment) is at the center of everything. I’m so excited to meet him...but no, we do not have a name, not even close:) Well it’s time to go to bed, but it leave you with this promise to write more often, to keep this blog fresh, and to once a week grace you with at least some baby news or pictures…or something.
